The journey starts from Fes, an ancient city teeming with culture and history. As the tour leaves the city, it passes through the Middle Atlas Mountains, revealing stunning views and a chance to see Barbary apes in the wild near Azrou. The route continues through Midelt, known for its mineral and apple production. Lunch here provides an opportunity to try local specialties. The journey then descends into the Ziz Valley, offering a panorama of palm groves and ancient kasbahs, before reaching Merzouga. The day ends with a camel ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes and an overnight stay in a desert camp, experiencing the vastness and tranquility of the Sahara.
After enjoying a sunrise over the dunes, the group heads towards Ouarzazate. The journey includes a stop at the Todra Gorges, where towering cliffs provide a spectacular natural setting. Lunch is enjoyed in a local restaurant, nestled among the gorges. The drive then continues through the Dades Valley, known for its fascinating rock formations and fortresses. Ouarzazate, the final destination for the day, is a city famed for its film studios and kasbahs, offering a mix of desert landscapes and cinematic history.
The final day starts with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, an ancient fortified village that has been the setting for many films. The journey then takes the group back over the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass, offering breathtaking views and a chance to appreciate the beauty of Morocco's most famous mountain range. The tour concludes with an evening arrival in Marrakech, where the bustling city life contrasts sharply with the tranquility of the desert.
