The journey begins with an early departure from Marrakech, heading towards the Atlas Mountains. As the sun rises, the group will explore the ancient Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its traditional Moroccan architecture and cinematic history. After enjoying a lunch of local cuisine, the tour continues through the scenic Dades Valley, renowned for its breathtaking rock formations and gorges. The day concludes with a relaxing evening at a traditional riad in the valley, complete with a Moroccan dinner under the stars.
The day starts with the majestic Todra Gorge, a spectacular canyon known for its immense rock walls. The journey then leads through the lush palm groves of Tafilalet, showcasing the traditional desert oases. By afternoon, the group arrives in Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. A camel trek at sunset offers a magical experience as the group traverses the heart of the Sahara, ending the day at a desert camp with a traditional Berber meal, music, and storytelling under the night sky.
An early morning in the desert allows for a stunning sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, the tour heads towards Fes, transitioning from the sandy landscapes of the Sahara to the verdant Ziz Valley and the rugged terrain of the Middle Atlas Mountains. A late afternoon stop in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” provides a contrast with its alpine-style architecture before the day ends with the arrival in the ancient city of Fes.
